2025 Festival

The 3rd edition of Photo | Frome will run from 5 April to 27 April 2025

Photo | Frome again brings an inclusive and thought-provoking perspective on photography to Frome & the Southwest. The festival approaches contemporary documentary with a broad lens, and the artist line-up will reflect that vision, featuring world-class national and international names, photography to explore the history of the Southwest region, and showcasing the talents of local and student photographers. As an ‘indie’ festival, our concept is inspired by the long-standing Les Rencontres d’Arles, aiming to fill the Frome community with curated photography and events.

The 2025 programme is subject to final funding, and will be formally announced soon. Expect to see another thought-provoking and inclusive theme, world class photography, many of the same kind of venues, awards and events that made 2023 so successful – with more outdoor photography as a major attraction across Frome.

The theme for the 2025 festival is inEquality. Details to be announced, although many world-famous photographers have already been booked.

Photo|Frome’s 2023 programme had a 2 day symposium, workshops, outdoor exhibitions, an open book call and student photography awards. The free pop-up studio, Faces of Frome, returned in partnership with The Frome Independent market. And the Monograph series was continued.
