The Independent Eye
‘Taken whilst working on international/youth development projects across Tanzania, these images constitute a half-written love letter to the country and work. Sadly many of the photos have been lost, leaving this as a less coherent document than hoped for.’
Jazz Chandler is a documentary and portrait photographer from Bristol. He originally photographed his friends’ bands as a means to get in on their rider, before becoming more interested in social documentary. Having never been able to find a commercial outlet, Jazz produces imagery in conjunction with day jobs and the events around him. He has had an image of Occupy London displayed in the Houses of Parliament and recently won the International Citizen Service Photographer of the Year for work produced in Tanzania.
